There May Be Hope :D

Okay so when I first started this blog I added a sidebar thing for PETITIONS, one of them I linked was RobPattzNews' . Well they have now gave printed and handed over the 6,000+ signatures over to Summit. Here are some pictures she tweeted.

Pic 1: all of the signatures
Pic 2: handed over to Summit :D
Pic 3: heading to the Summit office

They also tweeted about it.
"Ramsey said he'll "pass signatures on to powers that be." We told him how strongly you felt about this, thanked him for his time."

"Met w/ Ramsey @ Summit. He told us he can't give any official statement, other than what Summit has already put out."

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO NEED AN EXAMPLE:

"As soon as I saw the Twilight Lexicon post my heart stopped and I couldn't breathe. HOW COULD THEY?! Rachelle is my favorite cast member. Victoria is one of my favorite characters. The first time I saw a picture of Rachelle I though, "Oh God. She is perefect". She was so perfect for the role that in my mind them recasting Rachelle as Victoria was like them recasting Ashely Greene as Alice. Rachelle has been so nice to us and went to many 'Twilight' Events. I was appauled at Summit's decision. Couldn't they give her 10 days? When I watch Eclipse I wont even pay attention to Bryce I'll put Rachelle's head on Bryce's body (in my mind of course lol). I do understand both sides of the story but Rachelle's is WAY better than Summit's.Rachelle IS Victoria.

She IS the best, always WAS the best, and always WILL BE the best Victoria.

A Little Something to Ponder

Summit made it a point to mention that they were unaware of Rachelle's acceptance of the role in Barney's Version until July 20th.

On July 10th, TEN DAYS prior to the date Summit claimed they were notified, news broke via the Hollywood Reporter that Rachelle was joining the cast of the film. Every executive of the company (Summit) receives the trades every morning. The news was also mentioned in other media formats.

Hmmmm Summit lied........

Call The Lawyers

Rachelle Lefevre and Summit Entertainment's fangs are retracting a little bit today—at least in public, that is.
I'm told the actress formerly known as Twilight's Victoria isn't planning on releasing
any more statements like the one she sent me yesterday. Same for Summit—the corporate lips are sealed.
Why? Because now the bloody mess is apparently being hashed out by lawyers.
What's on the table? Read on to find out…

In short, Lefevre wants her money. Summit is arguing she's due nothing because the studio insists she's in breach of contract for signing on for the indie flick Barney's Version.
"Rachelle's contract says she's allowed to do smaller projects like Barney's Version," one source said.

Meanwhile, her Twilight and New Moon costars are "devastated," said another source. "As nice and lovely as Bryce [Dallas Howard] is, they feel like a family member has been taken from them."

But don't expect them to go public with too much anti-Summit talk. As my gossiping cohorts over at The Awful Truth point out, Lefevre's dismissal sends a very strong message—or warning—not to mess with the studio.
Sources also tell me that shortly after Summit announced Lefevre's dismissal, the rest of the cast was told not to elaborate on the circumstances to the media, beyond repeating that it was due to a scheduling conflict.
"But that was before the Rachelle and Summit statements yesterday," a Twilight insider said. "Who knows what they'll ask them to say now."

Summit is being total bitches!

"I don't think so."
—A key Summit player's response when we asked if the Twitter petition Twilight fans are waging in an effort to save fired Rachelle Lefevre in her role as Victoria would get her reinstated.

On the other corporate bitchy hand, Summit claims Lefevre withheld notification about doing the film (which has a
conflicting shoot schedule) and is being "uncooperative" as a result.
Well, that's just what Summit's saying on the record.

"Rachelle, to her credit, drew the first blood," bitched a key player involved in the nasty situation. "So no matter what Summit says, they look like the bad guy."

"Because the fan base is so passionate," our studio know-it-all replied, "any change [is one] they feel they need to be consulted on."

"You have no idea," sasses Deep Twi. "Everyone started freaking out when they saw how Rachelle was going to spin this. Execs were prepared to play nice but were 'stunned' when they saw Rachelle's statement. So you can scratch the playing nice part."

"After this public mess? I think that's a no."

I know I said this wasnt a Summit Entertainment hate campaign but Summit is being total bitches. They are being:

  • cold hearted
  • unreasonalble
  • unprofessional
  • uncooperative
  • unforgiving
  • down right MEAN!

My Letter to Summit

Dear Summit Entertainment,
I am deeply saddened by the recast of Victoria in your alls upcoming production of Eclipse. Im my opinion this was a TERRIBLE decision. Rachelle Lefevre has been so nice to us and went to multiple events. Victoria is one of my favorite characters so you all recasting Rachelle as Victoria is like recasting Ashely Greene as Alice in my book. Rachelle was perfect for the role.

RACHELLE is VICTORIA. Its a simple fact.

It doesnt matter who you recast as Victoria, Rachelle will always be the best. Also, I would like to add an point out that the press release issued out the other day was very unprofessional.

In my opinion, Eclipse hasnt even began filming yet and and the movie is already screwed up without Rachelle.

All Twilighters AGREE:
WE WANT RACHELLE!

You all worked with Cam about the filming scheduale. Why wont you show Rachelle the same kind of courtasy?

A fellow twilighter,
Arikka _________

Summit Responds to Rachelle's first statement

We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Ms. Lefevre's recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts.

- Ms. Lafevre's representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.

- If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes "passionate," about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE .

- It was not until July 20th that we were first informed of her commitment to BARNEY'S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.

- Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE's principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.

- Contrary to Ms. Lefevre's statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmakers and most importantly the story.

The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre's commitment to the other project
- which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment - makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.

I thought there was more...

Sounds like redheaded beauty Rachelle Lefevre's sudden departure from the Twilight movie franchise may not be as amicable as everyone wants us to believe.

As Twilight aficionados already know, Summit Entertainment announced
last night that fellow ginger gal Bryce Dallas Howard will replace Lefevre as Victoria in the just-about-to-start-shooting Eclipse.

Official reason is scheduling conflicts, but money may be a part of the problem, too...
First up, Lefevre got a hefty pay increase for the vampire franchise's third installment, according to sources.

Then she snagged a role in Barney's Version, an indie flick costarring
Paul Giamatti, which she planned to film between the New Moon and upcoming Eclipse shoots.
But then, I'm told, Lefevre's Eclipse schedule with director David Slade was tweaked and overlapped with Barney's Version.
"Summit could have made it work," one source says. "But they saw that they could save a lot of money by recasting her. This could get really messy."

Why?

Because Summit could try to argue that they no longer have to pay Ms. Lefevre. However, Lefevre's team believes she should get her money because they feel the studio is the one who caused the trouble by changing the shoot schedule.

Money and Howard aside, Lefevre will certainly be missed, sources said. As one of the older members of the cast (yeah, she's only 30, but remember this is Twilight!), she was, for many of her young costars, the on-set mother hen.

"They'd all come and talk to her about everything," one of the sources said. "She knew all the drama on and off set. And she is one of the easiest people there to deal with. She never complains, does whatever anyone asks, and she has a good head on her shoulders."

Note of Rachelle's Replacement

Los Angeles - July 28, 2009 - Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of "Victoria" in the studio's upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio's TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," said Erik Feig, Summit's President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. "Rachelle brought "Victoria" to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role."

Howard most recently starred in TERMINATOR SALVATION as Kate Connor and has been seen in SPIDER-MAN 3, LADY IN THE WATER, and THE VILLAGE. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film AS YOU LIKE IT.

In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.
Howard is represented by ICM and Management 360.

Twilighters Take Over TWITTER

ALL CREDIT GOES TOBold Twilight Poison
"Less than an hour later after releasing her statement through Access Hollywood, Twilight fans are expressing their frustration and supporting Rachelle Lefevre who will be replaced by actress Bryce Howard on the ‘Eclipse’ adaptation due to scheduling conflicts.
Twitter is being used as a tool for fans to let Summit Entertainment know how they feel. #BringBackRachelle is currently number 1 on the treding topics list. Victoria is number 5 and Rachelle Lefevre is number 6. This shows how much Rachelle means to the Twilight fandom and how we hate to see her go. She’s been a great member of the cast and did a magnificent job with her character’s adaptation for the first two movies. While actions like this might not actually get Rachelle back, it’s still a way to show our support to the actress who’s been nothing but great to the fan community...........
